last weeks recap

We've been out and about, But not this week or for sure we would aready have a baby!

Last week Trey saw his first chicken up close in months, he really loves the rooster sounds. It was a bit scary for him, specially when you feed them and they are at your eye level.
Troy's preschool class. Aren't they a nice little bunch.

These two are going to be nothing but trouble.

Tulip Festival and the Olson Boys!
Such Handsome boys!

Now these two are also going to be nothing but trouble!

This is the mama owl at the gardens, she is so beautiful, her eyes and color I don't think I've ever seen and owl this close or good looking! (she's at the top of the waterfall)
We've had an evenful week, with outings and birthdays, now I'm ready to stay home unless the weather gets nice again, then I'll go out, if I can.

Happy Birthday to Grant

Happy B-day! You have now been alive 31 years!!!!!!!!!! Wow!

We still love you and will keep you around one more year, even if you now have white hair and play basketball like and old man. (according to you, not me)
Grant is a man of simple taste, all he wanted E-Clair's for his Birthday. (not to mention it takes more time to make those, than a box cake!)
So we let him have his wish. Oh, I must add since he rarely has any wants or needs for his bash the children had a blast finding presents for him, which varied from a hula hoop, a green lizard, and a panda bear. Maybe next year he'll have something else in mind.

Shower time!

What a wonderful day to be out and enjoy with friends. I appreciate all who helped and for Jenn's thoughtfulness.
No words needed describe, just these shots!
In the end it all made it back to the nursery! Which officially has a theme now!

Reality check

They do love each other after all. She has a hard time with babies, but he's no baby anymore!
So last week as I was going through my list of things I had accomplish or more like had not accomplished I thought, well the b-day parties are over. Not to worry baby can arrive and everyone should be covered and NOT forgotten right, right. But in reality Troy is the only one who's real birthday has past, so he's 4 but Karina is still 5 and Trey is under 2 years old and I'm having another baby in a week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does that not sound CRAZY!!!! It sure does! For a week or so it seems I've popped out children every year, but by the end of this week I will have a 6 yr old and a 4 and well the other one is still under 2 but he's so big it's like he's 2 and half, and he acts it too. The truth is we it really is not that crazy, they really are good kids all around they help clean up a ton, it really is not as crazy as it sounds everyone should try it out. Now by the end of the first week in May we will have one more and she better be good, other wise she is not OURS! Every child we have, has raised the newborn expectation for the next and she's no exception, yet we still have some reservations she could be the one who does us in.

Karina's Party

Karina's party was more like 5 going on 16. But she loved it, or I loved not doing any of it. It was great. We took some friends to Capelli's Hair school, where they do little "princess" parties and they do their hair and nails and the B-day girl gets a crown that lights up! And every girl has their own stylist so for 6 girls we were only there a little over a half hour. Those girls were in heaven, and soooooo well behaved with me, for a minute the thought of being able to handle or have 6 kids seemed doable. (or until I realized I won' t have 6 girls)
We came back for cupcakes and pizza and presents after and enjoyed the beautiful weather we've ever had in all our 6 years of April b-day celebrations.

Are these girls not adorable!

My favorite is the smile on cousin Ash as she hugs. Those two are only days apart and had the same kind of party, how fun is that!

Look at all those candles on the tiny cupcake! I can't believe I have a 6 year old, I really don't feel like it. ( how do you slow it down, make it stop! I want them small forever!)
The girl did such a good job it even stayed in till the next morning!

This was one happy little girl! She deserved every bit of it, she is so wonderful and beautiful!
I just hope those poor mothers don't get asked what I got asked Sunday morning......"can you do my hair like the lady did it on Friday?" Me: No I can't but I can try to curl it?? Karina: okay. She is so easy to please even with an incompetent mom like me. I did not get a picture of the nails, but they all got pretty colors and looked real cute.

Troy's Party

It really was not that big of a party, he only had a couple of buddies luckily they all showed up and headed out to jump on it. Troy's favorite. Then home for some cupcakes and presents and more play. So after I had put all the goodie bags together and had struggled to find pirate themed things but a lucky eye patch and sword I realized I could have gotten gold coins/chocolates. Too late the boys really did not care and were content with what they had.

And, no I did not make these.

Birthday boy! (maybe that undershirt is too big???)

Our Troyboy is already 4 years old. Well monday, but that went fast.

He could not wait, and neither could the boys.

We just could not get enough of Trey. He is SO, FUNNY! Aside from wanting to wear his eye patch and earring he also has a new fascination. He loves he's riding horsey, so one day he found Karina's Barbie horse and has taken over it. He not only carries it around but he also wants to "ride it" and will not give up until he does, even if it's just a second. Here he is all 30 lb. on the tiny horse.

Crazy!

Easter and 1st Birthday bash

First Egg hunt was pretty fun, We just thought we were gonna die outside, it was a frosty one. Everyone was sooooo excited it was like they could not tell how cold it really was. Thanks Davis it was a good one.

Hunt #2. Much nicer weather. The spoils were great, they sure had their fill, and no one got sick.

Karina is getting much better at it, and so is Troy. Trey was just excited to have 1 or 2.

They wanted their eggs back with all the stuff inside. I said, No way! or you won't have any treats during spring break!

Easter Morning. It went very, very well, we actually heard conference everyone was so busy with their stuff they actually left us alone for a good time.

Later that same night we began the B-day bash. Grant shares the month with half of the children in his family.

A closer look at grandma's talent.

I tell ya, this is why we needed them home!!!!

Who else would write Grant's mane on the cake?? Only a mother would be so kind. I know I would have just done the kids(well, that is if I could) Just a reminder and proof that your children never stop being your little ones in your mind.
By the way those chocolate bunnies were so, delicious....must buy some next year!

Conference weekend was more like high sugar activity packed weekend, but like I said no one got sick, thank goodness!
