Boating with the Olsons

So lately I've been reading alot of other blogs, of all these families who are getting out and enjoying the summer by going on boating trips, camping and all sorts of fun activities. Having had a baby only 5 weeks ago, I'm not that adventurous yet although half of my family would love it the rest of us would end up super tired and more stressed out than normal by trying to nurse and stay cool in this heat. Enough said, I still want my children to have the opportunity to get out and do these fun things this summer so we went boating this morning, Maggie style! To go boating all you need is a boat, water, sand/dirt, rocks, sun and lots of sunblock all of which I found out I had right in my back yard. So I told the kids we were gonna go on a boat trip!

And nobody seemed to notice that we never left the house to go on our boat trip, in fact Troy even went fishing with some string he found, and Karina washed the boat after we were done and ready for our much awaited lunch. Trey and I had a good time in the shade and never worked up a sweat. So if you ever want to come boating with us, just let us know we'll take ya!

Technology

Karina has been fascinated with technology lately, she loves her little computer and knows how to use it well too. So her latest find is the keyboard, she has figured out how to play the music on it and loves to dance to it, she has even converted Troy to doing the same, except his dance is less elaborate than hers, but they both could do this for about an hour straight, it's great!

Trey's 2 week stats

Big sister or big brother?? Our little boy is a giant in comparison to what we are used to. He was already 9 lbs 11 oz at his 2 weeks and 2 1/2 inches bigger the doctor said he was thriving and bulging and not to worry about feeding him every 3-4 hours at night, he could do as long as he wanted. This explains why his mommy's back is starting to hurt. All in all he is still a real GOOD baby, he is very mild and sleeps most of the day and night, even though lately his has been screaming at us more, still we'll keep him! Our only challenge is he is very hard to bathe because of all the rolls and chubbs everywhere and he really does not move, so that's the hardest thing about our little Trey. ( I know he is 3 weeks today, but I'm still a week behind)

Lehi roundup and 4th of July

We showed up for like the last half hour of the activity the Saturday of Lehi days, but we still caught some action. Especially the pony rides. Our kids would have done anything we told them that day to ride a pony!( and believe me that dollar ride was worth every penny! )They just loved it and beamed on those ponies. We also found that Troy is more of a dare devil than we already knew. He was just unstoppable, he wanted to go and do everything and would run away from us and attempt what ever it was he wanted, even the giant slide which he ended up getting help from a cute nice girl who carried him up the stairs and down he went, No Fear at all.

The 4th of July was abit more relaxed we ended up being at home most of the day and went to the Dino museum latter that evening and then we did fireworks with our neighbors the Davis boys and the Gardner girls. It was fun Karina enjoyed it the most, Troy and Breken took off midshow and found some toys to play with instead.
