STRIPLING WARRIORS

This last Monday night for FHE we had a lesson on the the striping warriors and all that good stuff. Since our sister in law has let us use the living scriptures DVDs my little Troy has become just about every one of those hero's....Nephi is his favorite, he's been a Helaman and the stripling warriors, Samuel, Jacob. You name it he likes them. So I thought it would be great to make him and his cousins something to wear for our lesson. And if you know any of these boys you know how much they love swords and all sorts of tough guy things.

Trey & Troy

I found these bug catchers at Macy's, but only bought 2 of them because they are so big. I thought well, they can share. Wrong! Trey stole Troy's and there was war and Trey won. Good thing Karina can hold her own against the beast!

The result, Troy yelling at me "take it away from him." I say no! you need to share. He says...... Mami your being like Laman and Lemuel! I think I have lost count on how man times I have been told this. It all started with those darn living scripture videos. To which I have to say...I don't care if I'm being like Laman or Lemuel, as long as Troy is like Nephi THE REST OF HIS LIFE EXISTENCE!(I don't know if you can see his face real well but he has a mean one)

It has begun!

As much as I look forward to swimming, I'm already tired and I've only done it one day. Troy and Karina loved it. I think this year they will actually learn something because there are only 4 kids in each their class!

Yard work anyone?

He might hate me latter on for this but we have gone from cute little bear to Pig(for Trey). He is the cutes pig I've ever seen. Any way pig got up on the table...and everyone followed.

Does anyone feed their kids inside during the summer???

WE LOVE THE GARDENS AND MADE A QUICK STOP. WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE IT SEEMED. IT MADE FOR A GREAT 4TH ACTIVITY.

Happy Birthday Trey!!

It seem like it went from this to this over night.

I know Trey has monopolized the last couple of posts but this is the very last one. Last Friday was our little bears first B-day. We tried our best to give him a well deserved b-day party by inviting the cousins for cake! He had his very own piece of cake on a real plate and got to eat it all by himself and did not even make that big of a mess. As for his gifts we had Troy and Karina get him some dollar gifts--a plastic dino and a plastic snake and a recorder that was from us. He loved them, but his favorite were the pop-up books grandma and grandpa sent him from Hong Kong. He really liked those! It was like he had never seen books before, and I know we have at least read him one book this last year??? Anyway we are so grateful for our little big boy and love him so much.
