Birthdays

Troy turned 2 April 19th and Grant 29 on the 26th and Karina 4 on the 28th and we are finally over the Birthday mode thank goodness! We had a total of like 3 birthday parties combined and I think half my body weight is from those parities and the other half is actually a baby! Everyone had tons of fun and it's over for this year. My favorite picture is Troy holding his blanky, because if I allowed it he would carry this Big blanky with him everywhere. Also Karina's party was great, all those soon to be 4 year olds were just very, very well behaved and actually played some games. The weather that day was just too cold, but everyone did well inside and even the indoor version of duck, duck, goose was a hit.

LOST CAT

Our Kitty has been missing since Monday night and we have been looking for her everywhere we can think, but since this bad weather our search may have been a little bit limited. So if anyone has been around this area or I guess anywhere even close to your homes have seen her please give us a call. We have also contacted local shelters but no luck and we have some flyer's out too but nothing yet. Even though this was a "family" cat I think I 'm the one who misses her the most. Troy just thinks she's somewhere where his lost pirate sword is at, and Karina says we are no longer a family since she was our family cat and that we can't get any more cats. Any help or any other suggestions on how to find her would be appreciated. Thanks.

Indoor balloon soccer

What is going on with this weather. I had Troy in shorts yesterday hoping that it would be sunny by the time we decided to go outside but we never made it! It was snowing by the time we were to go outside to take Karina to preschool and it was just too cold for me to be out with them, but we made it to preschool just fine. But by 4pm these guys were ready to do something. Luckily Grant was done working by then and made up this soccer game with balloons. Which at first I thought was going to be a little lame since balloons don't move as fast, but it turned out to be a lot of fun because for a 2 & 4 year old balls move just to fast to ever kick in time. Thanks Grant for making our boring days with a slow mami fun again!

Dance Class

Finally I took pictures at dance class. This is my third week attempting but its really hard when there is a little boy to interrupt me in the middle of a good picture, and you could see myself in the mirror, oh well this will have to do. I'll have to take a better picture just to make myself feel good. Karina Loves to dance and loves her class too. She has learned all the routine for their recital and they all look so cute! I can't wait for June.

Big Boy Troy

I know I never post anything about Grant and I but our kids are so much more interesting and cute. Our little boy is turning 2 soon and we are moving him on to a real bed. He's been real excited about, but that quickly changed when he figured it was for real and he no longer was going in the crib. Yesterday though he took his nap and slept all night in his big boy bed, wish us luck today that it may continue!

This was his first night he slept in the bed, and then he went on a two day strike and refused the bed and then he went back when I finally grabbed all six blankets he kept in the crib, now his bed looks more like a nest, but who cares if he stays and sleeps in it.

We are so ready for summer!

Normally we can't wait for spring because of B-days and well finally we have somewhat nice weather, but this year we can't seem to wait for summer. Here are some of my really good reasons!



Reason #1 Instead of doing water play inside the house, We'll get to do it outside where it should be.(Also Karina won't have to pull this scary move, where she could slip and fall and break something!)





Reason #2 Karina will be so tired from playing outside all morning in the sun that she'll be able to take naps without help from me or the cat. Usually she only need 5-10 minutes from me but using the cat is so much easier and it works just as good, besides I always end up falling asleep with her for more than I should.






Reason #3 cleaning up is a cinch because we usually go outside to have our snacks and sometimes meals. So that way my house stays clean and all I have to do is hose someone down and we are done. Troy is just incredible at making large messes out of one single snack.







And last we just can't wait to go swimming! Our kids LOVE the water and I'm way too chicken to take them swimming in the winter, even if it's indoors. So come summer they just can't wait. Plus we just have so much going on in the summer there are walks to the ducks. Baby Trey will be here. We have a summer recital for Karina's dance class. These are all pretty darn good reasons to be excited about summer, now where's the SUN????
